My EVE Background: Part 1
As a gesture of goodwill I'll share with you guys my history with Eve Online. It all started one day while I was playing on Roblox. Was looking for a new server to play and ran across one called EVE Online or something like that. I load it up and am rather confused by the interface and what the idea of the game was. Not sure what to do, I grabbed a ship and mining lasers and started mining. Now unlike the eve we know and love, this server didn't have a lot of people, so no suicide gankers. When I was done I decided to look up this "EVE Online", cause the concept of the game seemed pretty cool. Once I found the site I signed up and began my 14 day trial, which thought was crazy long at the time (most mmos only had 7 day trials). If I remember correctly, I joined sometime during Apocrypha, possibly closer to Dominion. Like all newbs, I went through the tutorial, got some ships, and had no idea what I was doing. Seriously. I fit lasers onto my catalyst. We all make mistakes though, right? But I did eventually sub, specifically because I found that barges required you to sub to fly them. That's right, I subbed JUST to mine. It was totally worth it. Since then it's been an on again, off again relationship I've had with eve. Enough for today though, I'd better get prepped for Rubicon tomorrow. Fly safe o7
