I'm such a terrible blog owner! I left you guys without a post for 3 days. 3 DAYS!!! I can't promise anything permanent, but i can promise that i will try and update more often than that. On to eve though... starting with my first standoff at a gate.
I get bored easily, so pvp SEEMS like a good outlet, right? Not so much due to my "pacifism", I really don't like shooting people. Also I dislike losing my money to a draining habit. Er, in-game not out-of-game. Shut up. Anyway I double check my Merlin's fit, then prep to find a guy who was hanging in Raeg. Instead of finding him, I find a Hawk sitting on gate. Not only that, but it's a Inglorious Squirrels Hawk. I'm going to say that they are our replacement for Lianowar Legion, a group that harassed Nadire awhile back before getting forcibly kicked by the local residents. Difference is that the squirrels are based deeper into low, so it's harder to kick em out. But I digress. This bastard is just waiting at the gate when i warp in. We begin to close the distance, 30 km. Hes red at -8.7 security status, I'm sitting at 1.41 or so security status. I know I won't lose sec from shooting him, but I still have no active pvp experience, he's in a T2 version of my ship, and I haven't tested my fit at all. "But this is our territory," I think as we circle each other, "I need to kick him out." We end up just orbiting each other for about 3 min before he jumps into Goinard. I resume my search for the other guy in system, but still don't find him. I really need to work on my hunting skills. Not maybe 2 min later my Hawk friend is back, and at the same gate too! This time I tell myself I will get him. Surprise on gate when there is a Pilgrim waiting there with my friend. I hesitate, considering asking the Pilgrim pilot for some help with the intruder, but before I can he launches drones and locks me up. My only thought now is FUCK. I thought maybe my Ancil Shield Booster would be able to tank his drones. Yeah, maybe just one. I got my ass out of there before the Hawk made his way over to me to scram me down. Sorry for no heroic tale of me kicking 2 T2 ship's asses, but that's life ain't it?
Happy Exploring, and may the scans be ever in your favor.
